
E-06 Atmospherics Class

As you may be aware, the FDNY has recently changed its policies regarding pyro licenses. What used to be called the E-27/E-30 pyro license is now the E-06. To help our members stay current with the new regulations, pyrotechnician and Local One sister, Megan Frazier, will be offering an E-06 – Atmospherics course, since the E-06: Smoke/Haze Operator/Special Effects Safety certificate of fitness is one of the most common FDNY certificates of fitness for special effects in our industry.

-Situational awareness with e7ects and permitting.
-E- Series COF’s overview

-what can you do with an E06?
-What can’t you do?
-If you have pyrotechnic e7ects in a show does your E06 cover the atmospherics?
-You don’t have a permit for atmospherics, but your LD wants to test fog and haze, what do you do?
-FDNY STUDY GUIDE OVERVIEW
-Fire extinguisher overview
-Which one do you need? How do you use it? Who is in charge of monthly maintenance?
-We will be going over the pages of the booklet that apply to the exam and discussing, giving people a chance to ask questions and absorb and take notes.
WALKTHROUGH INSPECTION
-As a class we will set up a situation where we have filed for a permit and have a mock inspection.
