What used to be called the E-27/E-30 pyro license is now the E-06. To help our members stay current with the new regulations\, pyrotechnician and Local One sister\, Megan Frazier\, will be offering an E-06 – Atmospherics course\, since the E-06: Smoke/Haze Operator/Special Effects Safety certificate of fitness is one of the most common FDNY certificates of fitness for special effects in our industry. \nDate: Thursday\, June 25\nTime: 12-4pm\nLocation: The TET Fund Training Space at Local One\, 320 West 46th Street\, 2nd floor \nTo RSVP\, please email director@localonetetfund.org \nThe course will cover the following topics – please see outline below. \n-FDNY 101\n-What do you need a permit for?\n-What do you need to file a permit?\n-Situational awareness with e7ects and permitting.\n-E- Series COF’s overview\n-What COF’s cover what e7ects?\n-General permitting knowledge and guidelines\n-How do I apply for a COF?\n-What is an E06?\n-what can you do with an E06?\n-What can’t you do?\n-If you have pyrotechnic e7ects in a show does your E06 cover the atmospherics?\n-You don’t have a permit for atmospherics\, but your LD wants to test fog and haze\, what do you do? \n-FDNY STUDY GUIDE OVERVIEW\n-Fire extinguisher overview\n-Which one do you need? Our course teaches the important safety and operating principles contained in OSHA standard 1926.454. \nMobile scaffolds of all kinds allow workers to extend their vertical range and perform tasks far above the ground. \nThis OSHA-compliant training isn’t just designed for lift operators.
